Harold Camping: NO Money refunds on the 22nd! But look on the bright side.. Millions will die!

Harold Camping will not address the issue of refunds when the world does not end on Saturday. He states that he never told anybody to give their money away. Camping, (a Multimillionaire who has guaranteed the start of the end of the world on May 21 st) does not like discussing his brainless followers who have cleaned out their bank accounts due to the fact that they feel there will be no need for money after the 21st

One of Camping's followers (let’s call him “John”)

has not only cleaned out the bank account but left his wife!

He was interviewed this week and here was his quote

“You know, I have to trust God. My wife does not believe in May 21. I have to do what is right and follow God. I feel sorry for her but I have to choose God over her. None of my family believes me. I feel sorry they are going to be left behind next week”

The issue of money is becoming a hot topic as stories are coming out about people spending their last penny because they believe there is only 6 days of life left

Many have been taken in by the message of Harold Camping and this is really a serious subject. This man is ruining lives and destroying families. The circus atmosphere is a shame. Many lives will never be the same but Camping will not care how broke you are on the 22nd. This is what a cult does, it destroys the lives of not only the members but also of the families of those in the cult

Christian Cults feed on a person’s love of God. The leader is someone who has all control and no one may oppose him. He is the ONLY voice of Authority as Camping is at Family Radio( He is the President)

Camping is an Old man of 90, he may be insane or senile. He is possibly demon possessed. Camping has convinced his members to leave church and follow his doctrine of No Church, No Baptism. No Communion. For his followers his teachings are as if God himself spoke.

He may be the most dangerous cult leader in a long time due to the fact that he owns a Media station that reaches millions daily.

Camping is not a Christian and his followers are some of the weirdest that I have ever encountered! He is an old man who has created his own doctrine by piecing the Bible together as a puzzle and mixing in numerology.

He has blind followers who take to the street to preach “Harold Camping” but they call it a Bible message

Harold Camping is not humble at all. He is an arrogant man who refuses to give back the money that people will lose due to this May 21 End of the world nonsense

NPR Radio has estimated the financial value of Camping’s radio station at 70 million dollars! Yet his followers keep sending him more money!

A caller to Harold Camping’s Open forum expressed that many are giving their hard earned money away and Camping got angry! All Camping wanted to talk about was that MILLIONS WILL DIE!! The followers of Camping love JUDGMENT. It is their JOY.

Does this sound like Jesus to you? Would you follow this man?

Here is the CALL Watch the Video

This May 21 has nothing to do with Jesus or the Bible. Camping says 200 million people will float into heaven this Saturday and The Greatest Earthquake in human history will happen as well. MIllions will die on Saturday and Million more every day after

This has all been created in the mind of a sad 90 year old millionaire who has possible mental issues.

This is not a Bible teacher... this is a sad joke

Yet, People will dress themselves in Billboards and become a clown for him

God help us

  1. Have you seen the video series on YouTube that is "counting down the days with Harold Camping?" It's really pathetic. Camping simply talks about how joyous he is about this coming Saturday and soft music plays in the background to make viewers sympathize with his "message." It's honestly the most sickening thing I've ever witnessed. He wants everyone to embrace the notion that millions will die a painful, gruesome death as...get this...a HAPPY occasion! Even as a rising junior in high school, I understand the price for false teachings. And a child even younger than me can tell you that there are times when the Bible needs to be taken at face value. Does is not CLEARLY state that NO MAN knows the hour? Does Camping think he is God?

I'll admit, when I first heard about this prediction and skimmed at the math, I was scared out of my mind. Then I started actually looking into the man behind the "prophecy." Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.

  2. Also, after 6:01 pm rolls around in New Zealand and nothing happens, can we expect a full apology from Camping THEN or wait until after 6:01 pm in California?

  3. I just now came across your blog. It wasn't until the last week or two when the May 21 prediction came to my attention. I've done my last few posts on my blog, "Moderate Mouse's Musings" on this subject and will probably do more this week. At this point, in keeping with the whole thing of not knowing the day or the hour, I am thinking that anything could happen--or not--on that day. (If May 21 comes and goes without anything happening, I will seek out an explanation from Mr. Camping, even if I have to personally write to him, asking him "what happened".)

As of today, I've even included a poll on the sidebar asking visitors if they believe the May 21 prediction. (So far, I've gotten two votes, both of which were "No".) If anyone here reading this has a moment and would vote on said poll if not leave a comment there, that'd be great, thanks.

  4. I have one question for all of you.
Why are you so afraid of Judgement Day? It's coming regardless. It maybe May 21st or not. The real message is "BE YE ALSO READY" since you know not the day nor the hour that the son of man shall appear. He has created fear in the hearts of some men. I feel sorry for all he has created fear in. To all those that have emptied their bank accounts, you are very foolish. There will be no need for money on that day. Don't you people get it? There will be no more earth as we know it. Stop judging and pray for him. READ YOUR BIBLE FOR YOURSELF. Ask God for guidance when you do read it. He and he alone will give you answers. He has for me.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Afraid of Judgement Day? Not I. It is not going to happen Saturday or next Saturday or the one after that. I have read the Bible. I have seen no evidence that it is anything other than the myths of an ancient religion. It is contradictory and NO ONE follows in its entirey.

All christians pick and choose what they wish to interpret just as Camping does, simply disregarding the rest.

Everyone has the right to believe what they will. But it is quite hypocritical to purport to believe in such things as contained in the Christian Bible and then calls others out as irrational because their beliefs differ from yours.

It is the same Kool-Aide just different flavors.

  6. Has it not crossed anyones mind that god doesnt exist anyways. I was walking down 5th ave and saw a few of these believers with there signs. If the judgement day really was coming in 4 days why the hell would people be wasting their last few days on earth walking the streets with signs. And i hope all you religious psychos drink some poison koolaid with the crazy man that came up with the prediction on that day. The only thing that will kill mankind is mankind itself. A world of people that are dumb enough to follow false religion and false government will slowly fall to the bottom of the food chain. Wake up and realize that you create your own life by the choices that you make.

    Dear Family Radio representatives.

Your prophecy that the Judgment Day is upon us has gained a lot of attention in the press all over the world.
However a lot of people are still in doubt. This is your chance to give them proof in a way they understand. The value of money.
Even if your prophecy doesn't happen this will be proof that at least you believed in it.

  8. Bill, believe me I'm not a Harold Camping supporter. I don't believe or disbelieve him. I don't agree with all of his interpertations of the bible either. What I do believe is that there is an END to this world. If you have read the bible you would know this. Or perhaps you don't understand some of the things, like all of us in the bible. This is why you need to ask God for understanding. If you don't believe in the bible you don't believe in God. It's not a myth. It's God word.

Dominic:I will pray for you. You seem to be a very miserable person who is not satified with anything. Who do you think wakes you up in the morning? Not your alarm clock. You are right in one thing. We do have choices. You can either make good ones or bad ones. The grace of
God will forgive the bad ones that we make if we ask him. For you to say that people should drink poison koolade is not a very loving statement. Perhaps you don't know that prayer will change things. Try it. God hears all prayers. Just be careful what you pray for, you just might get it. Love covers a multitude of faults; and guess what, we all have them. Mankind has already destroyed themselves. The final answer now lies with God. JUDGEMENT DAY.

I am sorry you feel that way but all gods are myths. You simply believe yours to be based in truth, I don't. I have indeed read the Bible and at one time I confess that I believed in the god it describes. But I only believed because it was what I was taught to believe.

As I have expanded my thinking I have seen that there are too many untruths contained therein to continue to believe. The god described in the Bible is irrational, illogical and immoral if it did exist, which I am now convinced it doesn't I would have a difficult time following it for moral reasons.

What I find amusing is the derision that some Christians pour on Camping. The have the arrogance to belief that they have the TRUE interpretation of ancient myths and he is therefore crazy.

All Christians pick and choose and interpret what they will from the Bible. For example I once knew a woman who told me homosexuality is wrong and as proof offered Leviticus. Yet this same woman had never sacrificed a pigeon or a turtle, she went to work everyday including those were she was "unclean". In other words, she choose what she wanted and discarded the rest, just like Camping and every other Christian I have met.

  10. You gotta love this.

The author of this blog states his disdain for cult-like behavior, yet I'll assume that he has ZERO problems with Christ himself demanding that his followers leave everything and follow him... or stating how he came "to bring a sword of division"... or even going so FAR out of his way to make the comment that one must "hate his family" to follow him.

And you have the gaul to wonder WHERE this wretched filth comes from? And then critique it as somehow "not Christ-like?"

Seriously. Are you nuts, or just plain stupid?

The sooner this desert cult dies off (double that for Islam and Judaism) the better off this world will be. But I seriously doubt that will happen. After all, you have all that wonderful evidence...

    ... as the crickets chirp...

  11. Bill,
The blog is pointing out the absurdity of a man and his followers making prophetic claims of a May 21 rapture and judgement day based on his interpretation of the Bible, when the Bible itself very clearly says that "no one knows the day or the hour".

I don't see any ambiguity in the statement "no one knows the day or the hour" that would necessitate an interpretation, so I don't believe there is any arrogance in pointing out this inconsistency.

    ReplyDelete
  12. The prediction is arbitrary, irrespective of Camping's pleading to the contrary, and it seems to be attracting the usual number of atheist flies. The Jehovah's Witnesses churned out these doomsday claims; Joseph Smith "prophesied" the 1880s as the time for the end, and didn't Sun Myung Moon dish some authoritative dates and times? All about as conclusive as Archeoraptor and Piltdown Man!

In the meantime, God continues to move, and the number of people following Christ grows in Asia and the Middle East. Reports of anti-Christian persecution grow not just because of Islamist intolerance, but also because of an increase in the number of people leaving Islam. If Camping's circus fails to impress, remember this passage from 2 Peter 3:9.

"He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."

  13. Bill: What are you saying? Help me out here.
Why would anyone want to sacrifice a pigeon or a turtle? You don't believe that homosexuality is wrong? We cannot pick and choose what we want out of the Bible. If the shoe fits, wear it. Just say Ouch!!!. We are all here on this earth to try to live the best we can. No one is perfect. We may try to be, but we all fall short of that mark somewhere down the line. What made you stop believing in God? Who do you believe wakes you up in the morning? I'm not a judge or jury. I or no one has a heaven or hell to put anyone in, but if I can help somebody as I travel along life's way, my living will not be in vain. COME BACK TO GOD. I LOVE YOU AND WILL PRAY FOR YOU.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Charmae,
What would anyone want to sacrifice a pigeon or a turtle? Because the very same book that says homosexuality is wrong says women must do that, every month. Ergo every christian woman who does not do that is unclean and commits a sin equal to that of homosexuality. Not just the same Bible commands it but the same book in that Bible. Or I must conclude that they pick and choose what they want and disregard the rest.

Interesting that you ask what made me stop believing and then ask what wakes me up in the morning. You see for me it WAS an awakening. There were SO many things that didn't make sense but if I had to point to one I would say it was the doctrine that says Jesus died for my sins. Really? Upon reading the story carefully I wondered how that could be possible. Who decided a death was required? God (unless God obeys or is bound by some higher law). The all powerful, supreme being of the universe couldn't find a better way to forgive his creations than the murder of his own son? No according to the story Jesus died for his father's sin or rather his own since they are one and the same. I could go on genocide, slavery, etc. All ok according to the Bible.

    Sorry but you did ask.

    Jenni,

The absurdity is that the only difference between Camping and his greatest critics is a quibbling over the DATE. I certainly believe camping is wrong. But I don't believe in magic, or demons or people rising from the dead or other superstitions. What I find comical is people that do believe in those (and I do not begrudge them the right to believe as they wish)arguing about whether their interpretation of ancient myths are more valid than someone elses.

  15. Oh Bill,Oh Bill:
WE ARE NOT UNDER LAW BUT UNDER GRACE. She should not have told you to read Leviticus. She should have told you to read Romans-1. Yes we must take into account the WHOLE Bible, but that is why Jesus came. To break that yoke of bondage. To offer us more GRACE more LOVE more PATIENCE,more understanding than his Father had. All you other Christians out there don't get me wrong. Bill Jesus came to save us. His Father was going to destroy this world a 2nd time and Jesus asked his Father to prepare him a body that he might redeem man. This is why I can't help but love him. Maybe someone can help you on finding it in the scriptures. I'm not sure right now where it is. If you have read the old testament it was always an offering of BLOOD,BLOOD,BLOOD. Remember we are THE GENTILES who have been grafted into the gospel of Jesus Christ. We were never the chosen people of God.
The last shedding of BLOOD was done by Jesus Christ for our sins. I have enjoyed for the last 2 months listening to Family Radio. Not so much Mr.Camping, but I have learn so much for myself from the reading of the Bible. Things my church has never expounded on. God has opened my eyes to so many things.
Bill I'm not trying to change your mind. I was just interested in why you no longer believe. I respect your opinion. Just do me one favor. Read through the new Testament and ask God sincerely from your heart to open your eyes to some of the things you believe are myths. Watch what he does. If you don't see things more clearly, then
I'll be satisfied. I don't know you from Adam and you don't know me from Eve, but we now have a connection thru this blog. Love covers a multitude of faults. Guess what? WE ALL HAVE THEM. There is no 1 true gospel, but the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Everyone says I'm right, I'm right, well guess what just as the author of this blog says ASK GOD FOR YOURSELF.

  16. Bill,

You are referring to Luke 2:24 on the TurleDOVES OR Pigeons reference. No when people come out and speak the word yet not in its entirety I sit back and see how you finagle the word just as Camping does to prove your point BUT I will go ahead and respond to your questions:

It is an example of love and friendship through this. 2 is the number of witness. One person is bringing a witness on behalf of his companion. that person standing for the other. From Hebrew studies in reference to sacrifice of these two turtledoves is the offering that brings peace with God.

BUT remember this verse you quote is in the scripture of Luke when Jesus was just born and had not fulfilled the Old Commandment (Testament) so the Hebrews during that time still followed the laws set out to them because there was no direct connection to God ie. Jesus yet to accept in their hearts as "The Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes through the Father except through me."

I hope that answers ONE of your contradictions that you see in the scriptures :D

As to your MAIN problems of Jesus's death we have to remember this:

Isiah 55:8 His ways are not our ways, His thoughts are not our thoughts—they are higher
    than ours.

Dont try to understand or comprehend an infinite being with a finite mind it just doesn't work and causes you to be where you are at. When Adam and Eve rebelled they had to be punished for if God is the judge then if he let the "law-breakers" pass then he is not a righteous judge. But he promised them in Genesis 3:15 that he would send them a Sinless sacrifice (Jesus) to take the punishment they deserved. Until then they had to sacrifice lambs and show their repentance constantly.

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death” Our "good work" cannot make up for wrongs against the Lord, we need his son Jesus to keep us from this death. Remember! the Father can't let sin go unpunished. To bear our own sins would be to suffer God’s punishment of death and hell. I Praise God that the promise to send and sacrifice the perfect Lamb was kept. His son Jesus had to die because Jesus is the only blameless one who could pay the penalty for our sins.

Just know that when he hung on that cross he died for you. I never had anyone die for Me personally. Hope this answers some of your misunderstandings or questions you have had.

  17. Chris: Please read the whole blog before you
make a comment. You have truly given Bill some good scriptures. But he was referring to a scripture that was given to him in Leviticus. This is part of the old laws. In regards to women sacrificing of doves and turtles due to being unclean. It had nothing to do with what you responded. He is already confused. Let's not confuse him even more.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Charmae,

First let me thank you for you kindness. You seem to be a truely good person and that counts a lot with me. From my perspective the confusion is the other way around. I'm not confused. I don't believe. I am not trying to shake your faith, that would be pointless, and you cannot create belief where none exists.

    Chris,

I have no desire to "finagle" anything and I am certainly nothing like Camping. Camping is trying to persuade others to believe his version of events. I am not looking to persuade anyone of anything. I don't believe.

My critic has largely been based on the uses of the words "insane" and "irrational" to describe his belief by those who hold beliefs which are not in and of themselves rational. Faith in a religious doctrine is not rational (I do not believe it insanity) but certainly faith is believing despite rational evidence to the contrary.

As to your last I certainly encountered those verses in my Sunday school days. You quote Romans 6:23 and I ask who passes the sentence of death? You further state, "the Father can't let sin go unpunished." He can't? If there is something he can't do then God is limited in some way. Either he is incapable of letting sin go unpunished or he his subject to some authority higher than his own.

Therefore I find Isiah to be false. His ways are not higher than mine. I would never demand that my son sacrifice himself because I purposely created a creature that I knew would sin. I find that immoral.

"Therefore I find Isiah to be false. His ways are not higher than mine. I would never demand that my son sacrifice himself because I purposely created a creature that I knew would sin. I find that immoral."

God did not create a creature that he knew would sin, he created a creature that was perfect and gave man a choice to be obident or not. It was not that man took from the tree of good and evil as it was that man never confessed what he did was wrong in the first place. Man said that it was woman that God created that gave him the apple and the woman blamed the serpent. Neither man nor woman took any responsibility for committing the sin. God did not command the Woman not to eat of the fruit but he did command the man and he broke the convenent and sinned.

  20. Harry,

    1. Either God is all knowing and all seeing or he isn't. If he is then it follows that he knew at the moment of creation how events would unfold.

    2. If obedience to God is good then a perfect creature would not have disobeyed. Therefore the creature created was imperfect.

  26. Bill,
The Bible needs to be read and re-read in its entirety to be understood. A single reading will not give you an understanding of the love and grace of God. Even after a dozen readings will new dimension to the Word still be found. There is absolutely no evidence in the Bible of God being irrational, illogical or immoral. He is very much the opposite: omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, all loving and good. Your vision of Him as anything but good is your perception only, and it stems from a lack of understanding. I am saddened that you have read His Word and have rejected it. I pray that God will change you as He had transformed Paul (formerly Saul) to further His kingdom.
Please understand that Christians in general do not pick and choose which parts of the Bible suit their lifestyles, especially as anyone who knows the Bible well is aware that to omit or add to those God-breathed words will be bringing upon themselves the plagues described therein. Christians are no less prone to sin than anyone else on this earth. Each and every person on earth, regardless of religious affiliation, is sinful and in need of the grace of Christ.
(By the way, I do not intend to return to this blog, so I apologize in advance for not responding to any replies sent concerning this message.)
Come, Lord Jesus, in God's time!
